Desktop crowned as first OLD champion of 2009

The ever-sexy Desktop has beaten 14 other players during an epic OLD, to be crowned as the first Ossify Dueling League champion of 2009.
With his trademark slick playing style and cunning fakes, Desktop beat gr33d in the final by 10 to 7, to cement his position.
The game saw some other hard fought 1 vs 1 duels, with many competitors spending all their energy on earlier rounds lasting over 20 minutes.
Desk is therefore the official SEXIEST OSSIFY PLAYER of January 2009! Congrats desky :)

Ok, so this is a bit out of date, but its still worth mentioning. Give your congratulations to Dakotaking and Little Buddhist - they have been asked to join squad command, and both have accepted. Squad command are in charge of recruiting, organising squad events, helping out with administration and keeping the peace. So you know who to go to if you need anything done...

Hello Ossifers past and present!
Just a quick reminder to you all, we are celebrating Ossify's 4th birthday this weekend.
Main events will kick off around 7pm British Summer time on Sunday (6pm GMT - you'll have to work that out in your own timezone!)
Plans include, but are not limited to:
* Playing 4 TWD matches simultaneously (this may be 4 DDs, or we may mix it up with spiders, javs and basing as well...)
* A monstrously big Ossify Dueling Tournament - 1v1 knockout, winner to be crowned Ossify Birthday Monarch
* Squad events (hunt, conquer etc) in #lem
There is also likely to be fun on ventrilo, birthday cake being eaten, drunken debauchery and more!
For the duration of the weekend, we are inviting old Ossifers to rejoin the squad to take part - come and speak to a cap in #lem if you are on. If you can't make the main events, drop in and say hello sometime anyway!
See you on Sunday at 7pm BST!

A long-overdue mention for the Continuum Skin editor, made by our very own Fifty (AKA vfx). The skin editor lets you create custom load-screen skins for continuum, so you can make a skin for your own squad (hint hint... anyone fancy making an ossify skin?) or for events etc.

Following a squad command meeting yesterday, we are pleased to announce that Mobey and marc..a have both been promoted to TWD assistant status. Congratulate them in game, and support them in running DDs please!
This promotion is part of a wider ranging plan to improve our DD success, which saw Ossify regain 150 points on the ladder yesterday (just ahead of the upcoming reset! bad timing I suppose).
We will be trying to play more games, and be better organised when we do play games, which means where possible having a ready substitute, who can also coord.
We are also trialling the idea of assigning a target (usually the weakest enemy player) and attacking them whenever possible. Any feedback on how this works would be appreciated!

It has just come to my attention that we have a few new (or at least, unacknowledged until now) Ossify veterans in our midst.
Congratulations to Dakotaking, who joined Ossify on October the 3rd, 2006 - hes been with us more than 15 months now, and has contributed in a number of fine campaigns, daring capers and mischeivous pranks.
Also congrats to Majin-uub, who has now been with us over 12 months, having joined on the 14th of January 2007.Another top-notch loyal player, Maj has also been helping out with websites and other technical stuff.
Kudos to both players - medals are on the way as soon as we can have them made. |
